The Best Gif of the NBA Season

AUTHOR: zoner | IN: Derrick Rose | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

The new NBA season is almost here. Sure, I’m a bit biased, but to me this is the greatest animated gif of the last NBA season.
Andre Miller was not hurt in the production of this gif. Not physically, anyway.

Remember Michael Jordan the Player/GM?

AUTHOR: zoner | IN: Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen | COMMENTS: 5 Comments

Like most superstars, Jordan always had some ideas about who the Bulls should draft. He wanted Walter Davis on the Bulls in a bad way. That never happened.
Thankfully, one of his other requests was never granted either. From the excellent Dime Mag:
“Forget Kwame Brown and Adam Morrison; this one needs to be at the top of Michael Jordan’s resume the next time he goes for a front-office job. Former Bulls GM Jerry Krause revealed to the Boston Globe that back in 1987, Jordan was pushing him to draft Joe Wolf, but Krause stuck to his guns and took his guy. [...]

Should Bulls Fans Really Want Amar’e Stoudemire?

AUTHOR: zoner | IN: Talkin' Bulls | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

Should Bulls Fans Really Want Amar’e Stoudemire? The quick answer is an immediate yes. He’s an upgrade over an big man we currently have on the roster. He’s just 26 years old. He has career averages of 21 & 8 on 54% shooting. He gets his share of steals and blocks some shots. He probably becomes a better defender the minute he puts on a new jersey.
Hoopsworld considers the Bulls one of the leaders in the race to get Amar’e, should the Suns decide to deal him:

Bulls send Tyrus Thomas ($4.7 million for 2009-2010), John Salmons (two years and $11.2 [...]

Luol Deng Must Take That Next Step

AUTHOR: zoner | IN: Luol Deng | COMMENTS: 5 Comments

Dime Mag has a great piece titled “The Top 10 Guys That Need to Break Out This Season“. For the story photo on the site they chose none other than Luol Deng.
Of Deng they write:
After signing a monster deal before last season, Deng played in only 49 games and had his worst season across the board since his rookie year. While Derrick Rose may be the man in Chicago, Deng was certainly paid as such. And if the Bulls want to do some damage this year, they’re going to need to have Deng step up – especially with the departure [...]
