Derrick Rose keeps getting mass props and publicity during this offseason. He recently made the cover of Dime Magazine.

With most NBA training camps about a month away and the Bulls roster seemingly set, it’s time to pick your fave 5. Starting five, that is. And here is that roster:
Is it as simple as:
PG Derrick Rose
SG John Salmons
SF Luol Deng
PF Tyrus Thomas
C Joakim Noah
Or could Vinny have something up his sleeve? What if Deng is not ready to go, or not able to play starter minutes? Could we see James Johnson at the 3? Would they consider a backcourt of Rose and Hinrich with Salmons at the 3?
Lots of variables to consider. Add your starting five–and your reasons–in the [...]
Ball Don’t Lie runs down their top 10 lottery draft busts of this decade. Only one Bull made the list, and he was part of a collective effort: Marcus Fizer and the entire 2000 draft came in at #2.
I thought Fizer was going to be the real deal. He had the skill set and he had the body. The drive? Maybe not so much. He had plenty of crafty moves, both facing and back to the basket. He could take the ball off the dribble a bit. He had his shortcomings on defense and in rebounding the ball, but I [...]

Derrick Rose has one of the best blocks of the year, and Tyrus does too, but he’s also on the receiving end of one.
Another great quiz here from Sporcle. Try and name all of the NBA’s leading scorers by letter. 3 hoopers that played for the Bulls made are among the answers to the quiz. I’ll give you a hint for one:
This is the only way you can ‘cover’ Derrick Rose.
In this new game, fans will begin their career at the ATTACK Athletics gym in Chicago by building their own custom player and working with a mentor, the 2K Insider, to step up their game through a variety of challenging basketball drills and 5-on-5 games to increase their NBA draft stock. Fans can then take their custom built players in NBA 2K10: Draft Combine and use them in the all-new My Player career mode in NBA 2K10 launching this fall, allowing them to continue their journey toward becoming an NBA [...]
Memphis is going to forfeit their 38 wins from the 2007-2008 season according to a report in the Memphis Commercial Appeal:
The University of Memphis is expecting the release of a report from the NCAA Committee on Infractions on Thursday in which its men’s basketball program will be forced to forfeit a record 38 victories and 2008 Final Four appearance, a source close to the situation confirmed to The Commercial Appeal on Wednesday night.
Memphis received a notice of allegations from the NCAA in January alleging major violations during the 2007-08 season under former coach John Calipari. The most serious allegation was [...]
Careful when you step to the Greatest of All-Time. Danny Ainge did it. Not a good idea. Maybe Ainge was still sore about losing to MJ in the Finals the year before when he was on the Blazers. MJ scored 40 or more points in four straight games, including 55 in Game 4. His 41 ppg average was the highest in Finals history. Oh, and he won the NBA Finals MVP — his 3rd straight. From the 1993 NBA Finals: MJ and Ainge Get Down.
Zo can’t believe it. Cliff Levingston was in the house. Gerald Wilkins puts 2 hands on Mike. Wouldn’t matter if he had 3. Thurl Bailey didn’t stand a chance. Pick up your shorts, Joe Dumars. It’s a look at some of MJ’s best game-winners. Enjoy.
