Somebody moved the NBA island. The timeline for this series is completely non-linear. Where is John Locke when you need him? Can someone ring up Benjamin Linus?
Last night’s Game 3 thrashing — in which the Champs made the Bulls look like chumps — should have been the result for game 2 at the Garden. Game 1’s result should have been game 3’s in Chicago. And game 2 should have been the result for game 1. That’s how it would have played out had the Bulls been a normal team.
But the Bulls have not ceded to conventional wisdom nor conventional means all season long. During the regular season they beat better teams consistently and lost to the doormats of the league. Here in the playoffs they beat the Champs on their own floor in game 1 and almost take game 2 as well. Then they come home and gets faced by more than 20.
What should we expect for game 4? I have to quit thinking about it lest my nose start bleeding.
